Good morning. First of all, my heartfelt condolences go out to the victims’ families, the Moroccan people, and Marrakech. This city draws a perfect image of the real Moroccan soul in all its glory. I’ve always had a particular bond of love and closeness with Marrakech. Let’s go back to the topic of this horrible, barbaric and inhuman attack committed by a young man that we can describe in a thousand ways without really understanding him (disoriented, crazy or barbaric and unscrupulous). I think that the democratization demanded by the people doesn’t have a sound foundation, as Morocco has known economic, social and cultural change and development, as well as full freedom of expression in the past few years. But I’ve always seen the Moroccan people, if I may say so, as a big boy with a wild imagination and unexpected actions, who needs to be guided, encouraged or even scolded when needed. We have been, and will still remain, the same. Long live Morocco.

A point of view. Democracy is a must in Maghreb countries; it’s the will of the peoples, and those responsible must serve these peoples and not vice versa. Taking advantage of an attack here or there to score political points against Islamic parties is completely wrong. We should all agree on the fact that our countries are extremely underdeveloped, and that we need to invest everything to break this deadlock. Picking a quarrel with X and Y just to be on the media is an act of hypocrisy. We must actively take part in the development of our countries with our money, efforts, ideas and relationships, instead of just taking advantage of existing systems then blaming darkness.

Peace be upon you. People who commit such terrorist acts have no religion, no life and no afterlife; they are foolish and religiousless villains, and they are criminals for killing innocent people who didn’t do anything, whether they are Moroccans and/or foreigners. What’s their fault, you scoundrels? If I were to judge you, I’d let the people tear your bodies to pieces, and creatively torture you without killing you until you feel what you’ve done to others. How can a Muslim do this to his fellow Muslims, or to any human beings whether they’re Muslims or foreigners? Are you entitled to judge people, or are you terrorist criminals and murderers trying to tarnish Morocco’s image? You claim to be Muslims whereas you kill Muslims, and torture those who survive by amputating them or harming them psychologically after experiencing the trauma of the disaster caused by thugs like you. Is this Islam for you? Is this your religion and upbringing? May Allah curse you and torture you in your hearts before your bodies. Terrorism has no religion.

In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful. Praise be to Allah, the Majestic, the Glorious. Prayer and peace be upon all prophets. Terrorism = ignorance = injustice = poverty…. One of the main reasons that led to the emergence of self-proclaimed Muslims, is allowing murder that was forbidden by Allah. Therefore, terrorism can be defined as a scourge ravaging the minds of ambitious young people who are angry about their conditions. Please reply. Thank you, and praise be to Allah, Lord of the Worlds.

There should be a law that considers parties and religious groups that don’t openly and clearly condemn this act as advocates of violence. This law should grant society the right to punish them by all possible means, especially by preventing from using public spaces.

Instead of carrying out bombings that kill innocent people, Islamist terrorists should rather review their philosophy. Good Muslims seek to improve themselves, get closer to their Creator by being better people, purify their hearts from hate towards each other, love life, do good, and educate themselves to ensure the development of the Muslim world which is trying to find the best strategy through freedom and democracy, in order to achieve modernity and join the ranks of developed countries like China did. I think that the governments use these criminal attacks as a scarecrow to silence and oppress the peoples, in order to take their wealth and share it with the enemies of the nation. That’s because all Arab rulers have no religion or beliefs; they are rulers outwardly, while they are in reality agents for Western leaders. Arab rulers bring shame to their peoples, and should be eradicated by all possible means and as soon as possible, to relieve people from their cunning, get rid of terrorism with their departure, and restore the stolen wealth and sovereignty of the peoples…

Terrorist attacks have a terrible impact reminding us that security is not guaranteed anywhere against a scourge that will unfortunately cause more innocent victims. Democratization is unavoidable in the Maghreb, but its peoples – including civil society – must first lay sustainable foundations for it. The region’s leaders, like the late “ultimate fighter Bourguiba”, the “cop and idiot” Ben Ali, the late resistant socialist, scholar and revolutionary Boumediene, the late widely-loved King Hassan II, and even the fiery “revolutionary” Gaddafi, have always thought that Maghreb societies are disparate entities with no common past, culture, or interests that can be shared and fiercely and collectively defended everywhere by the same dynamic that can sustainably put human progress and regional cohesion before all other considerations in order to prevent reawakening old demons who sleep with one eye open, regardless of their location and religion. This huge mistake made some parties heed the siren’s call that led them to extremism, this criminal fanaticism. A viable “democratization” requires a matrix, a common base, that must be local in the Maghreb’s case. Mandela said “the people are their own liberators”. This is particularly true for the Maghreb peoples who have so many good things to share, but they should beware of revolutions that might lead straight to more harmful anarchy… Deyloule.

In the name of Allah. Peace be upon you, and Allah’s mercy and blessings. Before being a criminal act, terrorism is a political criminality. We Arabs need to be ruled by the Pharaoh, or people like Saddam Hussein, may Allah have mercy on him. Arabs are not aware of the happenings around them, and don’t know their rights and how to obtain them. I would like to ask a question: What’s the outcome of the revolutions in Tunisia, Egypt and Libya? Didn’t they lead to terrorism: murder, violating sacred limits, flight, rape…? Look how they destroyed Iraq, made 50,000 young Tunisians immigrate to Europe, divided Sudan, ignited sectarianism in Egypt, bombed Syria, and destroyed Libya. The question that arises in Morocco now is: Who will get Algeria before it? They turned the issue of the Western or Moroccan Sahara to an unsolved problem between Algeria and Morocco… I want to ask every Arab and Muslim: Who benefits from all this? And what’s the biggest and best result reached by the Arab world? Thank you.

Brother Salah, the origin of (the activities of) terrorist groups in the Arab Maghreb and the world in general was in the Jijel province, where barbaric terrorism still kills innocent Algerians (especially members of the national service), and no one is talking about it, including the media, writers, journalists, citizens, the government and the people. Your article gives the impression that you’re defending murder. We can’t talk about terrorism without defining it. There is no terrorism in Morocco, because weapons are banned, and no organizations are out of control. However, the administration is unsupervised; the army is not subject to either control or accountability; the parties, trade unions and civil society are out of the game; and the defenseless and illiterate people are subjected to terrorism without regard to international conventions, the law, rights, and cultural and religious references. Loving one’s country is a part of the faith. The signs of the believer are three: when he speaks he tells the truth, when he promises he keeps his promise and when he is entrusted he is worth the trust. Hadith Qudsi: Indeed, I have forbidden injustice for Myself and made it also forbidden amongst you, so, do not wrong one another.

Terrorism is the control of authorities over people, withholding the truth, supporting the unjust, violating the sanctity of people and religion in the name of individual freedoms, taking away people’s rights, emphasizing differences between social classes, practicing monopoly in the name of market freedom, and corruption. Imam Ahmed reported from Hudhayfa ibn Al-Yaman that the Prophet, peace be upon him, said: “By He in Whose Hand is my soul! You will enjoin righteousness and forbid evil, or Allah shall send down a punishment from Him to you. Then, you will supplicate to Him, but He will not accept your supplication.” Zainab bint Jahsh, may Allah be pleased with her, reported that one day Allah’s Messenger (may peace be upon him) came out in a state of excitement with his face quite red. And he was saying: “There is no god but Allah; there is a destruction in store for Arabia because of the turmoil which is near at hand as the barrier of Gog and Magog has been opened like it,” and he (in order to explain it) made a ring with the help of his thumb and forefinger. I said: “Allah’s Messenger, would we be destroyed despite the fact that there would be pious people amongst us?” He said: “Yes, when the evil would predominate.” Al-Bukhari reported from Abu Sufyan that Jabir said: “The Prophet, peace be upon him, said: ’God ordered Angel Gabriel to destroy a village with its people, but Gabriel asked God, “O God, in this village is your servant that constantly prays to You”, God replied, “Destroy the village! For his face never changed with disapproval to what had been going on.” Angel Gabriel was ordered to destroy a village with its people, but Gabriel asked God, “O God, in this village is your servant that constantly prays to You”, God replied, “Start with him”, and Gabriel said “O God, how so?”, God replied: “For his face never changed with disapproval to what had been going on”, meaning that he never felt shame for the sins committed in the village, even if he didn’t commit any; he was passive as if those sins became commonplace and usual in society.” The Prophet, peace be upon him, also said: “If the people witness an oppressor and they do not stop him God could almost punish them.”

In the name of Allah, the Most Merciful, the Most Gracious. Unfortunately, not knowing the true Islam is what makes a lot of comments on terrorism overwhelmed by emotion and randomness. Consequently, we accuse one party and forget, or pretend to forget, that we – as peoples – are responsible for what’s happening, as we are all shepherds and are all responsible for our flocks. If we really understood religion and jurisprudence, we wouldn’t have experienced all these demonstrations, revolutions, self-immolation, and demands of changing the regimes, because all that is incompatible with Allah’s religion, and the teachings of the Prophet, peace be upon him. Moreover, when accusing the government of plotting the explosion of the Argana Café, we should keep in mind the following Islamic rule: “The burden of proof is upon the claimant and the taking of an oath is upon the one who denies (the allegation)”, and that assumption avails not against the truth at all; indeed some assumption is sin. When there is no evidence supporting a charge, the accuser deserves punishment and should repent to Allah the Almighty. The doctrine of the Sunnis and the community consists of obeying the rulers, and not inciting others against them. In this regard, please read the book “Treatment of rulers in the light of Quran and Sunnah”, by Sheikh Abdel Salam ibn Burjess, may Allah have mercy on him. Emotional and enthusiastic people who are influenced by the destructive media and the heads of deviant associations, parties and groups, should know that old and contemporary scholars never called to demonstrations, revolutions and changing regimes. Some Companions lived under the reign of Al-Hajjaj ibn Yusuf Al-Thaqafi who used to stamp the necks of those he suspected of loathing him, and yet, they didn’t revolt or incite the public against him. And when Ibn al-Ash’ath revolted against al-Hajjaj and the Caliph Ibn Marwan, that led to a disaster that claimed the lives of more than one hundred thousand people, and to the suicide of Ibn al-Ash’ath. We should revolt against ourselves, change ourselves and families, and work for the unity and security of our country. Avoiding politics is a political behavior, and let every soul look to what it has put forth for tomorrow. If you compare Morocco to other countries, you’ll see that we are safe under the rule of a fair King, may Allah protect him, who spends most of his time serving the people and country. Others wish they had a King or President like ours, so let’s help him even with just prayers, and not revolting against him nor inciting people against him. Allah is the arbiter to Success.
